St. Michael Basilica in Tayabas | Philippines

Quezon Province like many other provinces in the country has a very deep religious influence from Spain. Apart from the religious rites, these influence extends to the religion’s architecture.

The St. Michael Basilica was built using slabs of stones and wood. It is said to have the longest aisle in all churches in Asia. What is even more peculiar is that blueprint of this church resembles that of a key.

When in Tayabas, make sure to visit this century old site. And as locals say, make a wish whenever you enter a Church for the first time.
